Love is something we receive, not something we force. Jesus teaches us that we are branches, not the Vine. That means the pressure is off us to fix ourselves or pretend we’re flourishing. Today, God invites us to reconnect and let His love flow through us.
Scripture Anchor
In John 15, Jesus says, “Apart from Me you can do nothing.” That includes loving well. Healthy love is the fruit of connection, not performance.
Healthy love is the fruit of a genuine connection.
The Branch: Identity Rooted in Christ
Today, you may be pressured to perform or curate an image for yourself. But before we identify with relationships, roles, or labels, we identify with Christ. The disciples were used to finding belonging in their nationality, their community, and their circles. But Jesus shifted their identity:
“You are the branches.”
Your value doesn’t come from who chooses you.
Your worth doesn’t come from who stays or who leaves.
Your identity is rooted in Christ — the Vine who never disconnects.
Disconnection Happens — But Restoration Is Possible
Branches fall. They get covered in dirt. They get tangled. They get weighed down. But the Vine Dresser never abandons them. He lifts them up, cleans them off, and restores them to a place where they can receive light again.
Maybe you’re feeling disconnected — from God, from people, or even from your own heart. The good news is this: God is reaching for you, ready to bring restoration and reconnect what feels lost.
God is ready to bring restoration and reconnect you to Him.
He restores your capacity to love.
He reconnects what life tried to sever.
He breathes life back into what felt numb. This reconnection enables us to experience the fruit of REAL love—growing naturally out of abiding, not through our own efforts.
Love as Fruit, Not Performance
Fruit grows naturally when the branch stays connected. Love is evidence of abiding, not evidence of perfection. You don’t have to force love. You don’t have to earn love. You simply stay close to Jesus, the One who is love.
Restoration and Reconnection are Available
If you feel disconnected, know the Vine Dresser is reaching for you—restoring and reconnecting. Stay close to Jesus in every season. Abide deeply in Christ, and watch your love and fruitfulness grow.

Practice Connecting
Spend 10 minutes in quiet prayer today. No requests. No lists. Just abiding. During this time, focus solely on being present with God and listening. Write down anything you sensed or noticed about your connection with God. Ask God to reconnect what has been disconnected. Reconnection is always available. To deepen your reconnection, repeat this practice throughout the week.
